Today is a Crack Day

I'm declaring today to be a Crack Day, because it's the only way I can explain some things that have happened.

• I wandered into the comic shop that's just down the street and on a whim, asked if they happened to have The Middleman series (splash_the_cat? I am totally blaming you.) :
  
  Me: So, do you happen to have The Middleman graphic novels?
  Guy at Counter: You know, I brought some in a month ago because some girl asked for them. She never came to pick it up, so they're yours.
  Me: You have got to be kidding me. I cannot possibly be this lucky.
  Guy at Counter: You are this lucky.
  *looks around, happens to find Serpent Guard action figure*
  Me: *putting it on the counter* This is kind of rare.
  Guy at Counter: It's like a holiday for you, isn't it?
  
  Why do I keep managing to DO these things?
  
  
• I, um, just downloaded Song Summoner off iTunes. What is Song Summoner? It's an RPG. Made by Square-Enix. For the iPod. You create warriors based on your song collection. Considering how much I liked Audiosurf (off Steam), it's kind of amazing that I lasted 24 hours before caving and buying it.
  

So, anything wonderfully cracktastic happen to anyone else today?

The comics, oh man, they are so, so very awesome. I've made it through the first two and haven't stopped grinning since page one. And yes, Wendy Watson is brilliant.

I know! Somedays, I just seem to get this incredible blind streak of luck. (The fact that today was half-day at work was not luck, but oh so nice.)

And ohh, excellent. Amazon has an omnibus of all the comics for pre-order, so I think I'll pick that up when it comes out, since I've broken the comics seal with the current run of Invincible Iron Man.

I saw the omnibus on pre-order, but figured I'd try my luck at finding the separate books at one of the (many) local comic book shops around here. I just lucked out in that the very first one I tried happened to have all three. (I suppose it's payback for trying to go there on Wednesday, the store not being open, and myself getting soaked in the thunderstorm.)
