I'm an engineer by training and inclination. Most recently a college student, and I'm trying to figure out that whole "how not to be a student" thing. There is a distinct possibility I'll give up and go running back to academia. I have a tendency to go off on tangents, usually relating to how science does or does not work/play nice with things presented in science-fiction or other media. This is not the diabolical remnants of post-secondary education brainwashing; this is "standard operating procedure". Okay, so maybe it is the diabolical remnants.
I am also an unrepentant gamer, geek, and caffeine addict. I write tabletops (systems and campaigns) and LARPs in my spare time. I talk about gaming a lot, and think about it in terms of plots and mechanics and gameplay and social issues all the time. I also write fiction, both fan and original, as a hobby and have been for the last 10+ years.
