So, I got my hands on a copy of Win 7 and decided, what the hell, and installed it on Marduk. (Being not an idiot, I kept the recovery partition as-is, so if something terrible happens, I can nuke it back to Vista Business)
It's...interesting. It really does feel like a combination of Vista and XP, taking the better parts of both. Currently, I'm installing some of the Lenovo drivers/utilities (like power management). This is harder than it sounds, since it took some digging but I eventually found the Win 7 Beta drivers. I figure in 2-3 months, I'll be able to just click a utility on the Lenovo website and it'll put everything I missed in automagically.
But I'm decently happy with Win 7. It's almost got the features Ubuntu has.

But Win 7! It's adorable because it's trying so hard.

That being said, I've been decently happy with XP. Certainly moreso than the week I put up with Vista. (I still run XP 64bit on my desktop, and probably will for awhile yet)
