Thoughts are more scattered than buckshot right now. Let's try bullet points.
Yes, there is a reason for the above. Plus, excuses to play with SolidWorks are always good. Of course, I can't guarantee that this is not yet another fine product from the Department of Bad Ideas. With the way my brain has been going off in all directions lately, I promise nothing. Of course, the usual suspects are being their usual "helpful" selves. (PSA: Sometimes, encouragement is bad.)
Writing: working on it. Ideas are percolating in my head. Draft of one is still in major editing. Since I have a 4-day weekend, one of my goals is "make words". I think that's up there with "don't die", "sleep", and "do psets".

- The amount of chatter on zephyr about 6.005 is a constant exercise in parsing for me. Because there's always a couple seconds of delay until I figure out that "Prof. Jackson" is not the archaeologist. (Also: He'd be 3, not 6.) [Vaguely related: The plastic!Daniel figure I got is now entirely appropriate, because I realized he now looks like a scout. I think it's the radio and black BDUs.]
- With the fact that I actually do have a job this summer (yay!), I've come to the realization that I can finally do roughly half of the things I've been meaning to but couldn't because I had no money. These include:
- build a desktop computer (tentatively named "Bahamut")
- buy a tuner and new strings for my poor, neglected electric guitar
- clear out the Completely Useless Room, build a workbench, and move the powertools, socket wrenches, and other tools out of my room and set it up there.
- buy more tools, including soldering iron, multimeter, circ saw, and vice.
