I have lots of mixes.
This month I'm digging on Carbon Based Lifeforms, which I have just discovered. I also just found groups called Motion City Soundtrack and Cute Is What We Aim For, which you may like if you like Matthew Good.
Back when I was still writing to things with words in English, Mike Doughty and A Silver Mt Zion/Thee Silver Mt Zion/several other variations were frequent candidates.

I've also been on an instrumental kick lately, so soundtracks are excellent as well. (Pandora spat out God is an Astronaut at me at some point, and the next thing I know, I own three of their albums.)
Oh, I'm familiar with A Silver Mt Zion. Somehow, it ended up that I'd listen to Horses in the Sky right before every thermodynamics exam I had to take. I have no idea how that happened.
