ultranos: kino standing, staring ahead (beat of a different drum)
I've been working on projects (mostly coding. Yeah, I know.) and chewing through some new music I acquired. This has been making me want to flex my songmix muscles. While I want to make some mixes for various gaming runs I'm in, I'd be willing to make other people mixes as well.

So. Give me some kind of prompt if you want a mix. For the record, my music collection is eclectic, so if there are specific genres you might want or not want, let me know.

I hope the coding projects go well. *hugs*

as to the prompting...
options:

Dresden Files - the songs/music that Ancient Mai or Detective Murphy would like.

East West 101 - what Helen Callas (or Jung Lim) listens to to relax.

Doctor Who - the songs/music of regeneration.

Leverage - Parker having fun.

SG1/SGU - RepliCarter and 2nd Lt Vanessa James kicking butt and taking names. (with or without Rush)

I hope so too! I'm trying to teach myself Python, so the best way to do that, at least for me, is to give myself a project. (Learning MATLAB was directly tied to projects and a paycheck, so that was good incentive.)

As for the prompts, I think I could do something with those. :)

You know what I'd really like? And since you're a big gamer, you might have just the thing...

I want some instrumental music to write to. Vocals tend to distract me too much to write. But it needs to evoke feeling. I'd love it to be lush or sad or angsty or painful, but without vocals. Or a bare minimum of vocals. Do you think your library could handle that?

Oooh, yes, I might have that. :)

(I have a decent collection of video game soundtracks, as well as a good amount of classical and other instrumental. So I'm pretty confident I could pull something together.)

Well, I seem to recall someone telling me in Chicago that they had some great songs to make a "Sam Carter kicks ass" video. I might even be tempted to try my hand at vidding if I had the right song to inspire me. :)

Barring that, I'd love some music to help inspire me on my 36 stratagems fic. (I have #24, and I think I'm going to do a Sanctuary fic.)

Good luck on all the coding!

Haaa, I did say that, didn't I? Well then. Let's not forget that challenge I gave myself.
