(yes, I know I still owe people from the "5 Things" meme. I'm...working on them. Yeah.)

Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.

My favorite part was when the boys realized just how badly Sam had pwned them all. I've always wanted to see how Sam got back at them for forcing her to wear the blue dress, and this was perfect!

Here's the original opening:
"The old tales of Sateda, lost Sateda, told of the great moon goddess, who watched her children under the pale gleam of her face, as they slept and dreamt. And whispered things into her children's ears, intangible things that became solid under the waking hands.
He never put much stock into those, he thought, desperate to forget the nights he sat at the edge of his bed as a child and listened intently to his grandmother's words. That childhood belief died with Sateda, because what use are dreams when you live a nightmare?
Sometimes, he resents Atlantis a little. Lost Atlantis. Drowned Atlantis. Who rose up from the sea and breathes and sings while bright, shining Sateda is nothing more than ash and dream-whispers."

And yeah, at this point, RepliCarter showing up should be expected. Although it was really fun to see if I could keep it a surprise. She's about the one villain I can think of who can make such a completely backwards world that's still internally consistent and make it so that those stuck inside don't realize that they're being played for quite some time. I didn't get to show it as much as I'd have liked, since it was Daniel's PoV, but Sam got really, really pissed off. :P

Will there be a Tartarus scene, though, where the three of them see the Tartarus lobby for the first time?
Also, Patrolman Dojima was a nice touch.

The hardest part was writing that scene where Mitsuru summons Penthesilea for the first time. When you see her in the game, she's so comfortable with it, but this first time, she has to put the Evoker up to her head and pull the trigger, not actually knowing if it's going to work. I mean, it should be, but that instinctual "oh my god, this is a gun pointed at my head and I'm going to pull the trigger" isn't easy to get rid of.
As to the Tartarus lobby...we'll see. :)
