ultranos: kino standing, staring ahead (cue the victory theme)
I'm alive!

I'm also happy to report that I wrote over 10k words this week...except none of them were on fic. (*eyes [livejournal.com profile] stargate_summer warily* *hides under bed*)

I'm trying to let my brain recharge and detox from caffeine. (PROTIP: consuming +50 fl oz of coffee per day for two weeks WILL get you severely addicted in that amount of time. Oy, my head.) Rec me things? Funny things, dark things, things that will make me think? Gate'verse or Iron Man or Sarah Connor Chronicles or wacky LOLcats, I don't really care.

Here's one of my favorite things: Classics in Lego (classic photographs redone with Legos)

Okay, yeah, that is totally hot library smut. I think I was literally drooling.

I'll have to give the others a look. The second link looks absolutely fascinating (I've had an interesting personal history with religion).

Yeah, I think my mind was pretty much set to *want* when I was looking at those.

*chuckles* My mom was the child of a Catholic and (I think) a Pentecostal who separated shortly after she was born. She ended up being a fervent atheist (think Richard Dawkins in rant mode).

Oh, hey, where are the quotes in your sidebar from? 'Cause some of them are hilarious.

Heh. I'm the child of a liberal Catholic and an ELCA Lutheran who spent 9 years in a Catholic school before fleeing in terror and now believes fervently in Science. :)

The quotes in the sidebar are actually real-life conversations and snippets from friends of mine. I have a crazy group of friends.

Wow, I, I, didn't know McKay and the little stick figure people from XKCD were actual people.

I think "surviving" is the right word. Our final project didn't work, but our problems were integrating everything (we spent too much time debugging each individual module) and the fact that the circuit board for the RC controller fried itself. (Damn cheap electronics)
