ultranos: black on white safety stick-man getting a companion cube to the head (well this sucks)
I'm having a bad day.

1. I woke up this morning to an email from the Registrar telling me they're dropping me from one of my classes because I "don't have all the prereqs". Said missing prereq is transfer credit from a class I took elsewhere two years ago, during my time away from the university. I meant to file all this last term, but when I dropped the class before, I completely forgot about it. Now, I have to jump through all these hoops and run around campus getting the appropriate signatures so I don't lose this class, because I have to take it this term or else I don't graduate when I'm predicting I will. (Which also makes the parental units upset.)

2. I was up until 2AM last night wrestling with MATLAB for a problem that was due this morning, and then the printer I sent it to on campus was offline and I didn't realize. Which is okay, I guess, because I messed up my math anyway. At least the rest of the homework was done.

3. I think my hair is having moments where it thinks it's actually on John Sheppard's head.

So: bad day thus far. Or at least, bad morning. I'm really hoping it's not a bad day, because I have 3 hours in a machine shop starting at 2PM.

As this is the case: link me something that makes you happy? Or just tell me something that makes you happy in general? Fic, pictures, whatever. I need a bit of glee if I'm going to go end the world in writing my [livejournal.com profile] apocalypse_kree fic.

UGH all of those things are very, very annoying. I am sending all my thoughts that the machine shop turns the day around - I need you to have all your fingers so you can continue being a bad influence on AIM :) *sends STRONG message to machines that they better behave*

People seem to like John Sheppard's hair....

Happy things:
REPLICATOR T-SHIRTS IN OCTAL OMG!

http://www.particlezoo.net/shop.html

The LHC has not destroyed the world. However, it doesn't appear to have found god either.

SAMANTHA CARTER!

REPLICARTER (um, maybe not *happy* but...you know)

That click in your brain when a science/math problem falls into place.

SAMANTHA CARTER!

Amanda Tapping seems to be doing the convention circuit next year.

I'm trying to remember your fic taste in terms of happy fic...but these crack me up:

And, um, this one is really dark but I love it for reasons that probably scare me anyway:

Well, if that isn't a reason to be careful, I don't know what is. :)

YES! REPLICATOR SHIRTS IN OCTAL! AND REPLICARTER.

AND SAM CARTER. Sam Carter always makes me happy. And Amanda Tapping doing the convention circuit next year? EEE.

I have no idea what my fic taste for happy fic is either. :) Thanks!

Thanks. It should all get sorted out, but...ugh.

Oh, man, that IS hilarious. I had this big obsession with King Tut when I was a kid. The memories!

Thanks. Looks like it's all going to get sorted out (the prof of the class that got dropped just emailed me and said so), but it made me fairly manic this morning.

Okay, have some Awesome(er) (http://theawesomer.com/). Check out the German Star Trek Commercial Link. It is, indeed, awesome.

This should make you feel better about your own abilities (http://notalwaysright.com/not-quite-an-open-and-shut-case/1198).

This post from the blogess on how to deal with trolls (http://thebloggess.com/?p=634) might strike your sense of humor, if you are at all anything like me. Which is probably scary, but entertaining.

Okay, you're right. Those things on Awesome(er) are, indeed, awesome.

Oh god, lord, customer service. That one entry makes me so glad I got out of tech support when I did. :)

No kidding. That site never fails to make me feel infinitely better about my own job.

Is this where your dancing Daniel and hanging team icons come from? Because this is adorable! And it's a COMIC!

Yes, indeed! There's another team icon in which they're swinging back and forth, and the text is "Whee!" Sadly, I don't have enough icon space.

The zen comic is my favorite, but they're all GREAT. :)
