OMG, I think I have a first draft. Oh god, this style broke my brain. I think if I put it in Word, the Auto Grammar check is going to commit seppuku. Not that this might be a bad thing.
For the record, I listened to waaay too much Juno Reactor during this.
Now, I think what's next is my
redial_the_gate recap for next week, that I really should finish before Sunday. Also, the
apocalypse_kree fic, during which I will make valiant efforts to not listen to The Killers' album "Sam's Town" all throughout. Er, like I've been doing for the last week.

OMG YAY!

OMG YAY!

It's so pretty and green! (Did you know that Word's Grammar and Spellcheck squiggle lines are the EXACT WRONG COLORS for some colorblind people?)
(yours might be done before mine!)
I remain skeptical. :P Also, mine is a hell of a lot shorter. I fought all of RepliCarter's attempts to put in an actual intricate plot into this stylistic nightmare of a character piece.
BUT YAY!

(lemme guess, the whole thing is one giant green squiggle?)
(Word always gives up trying to spellcheck the redial chats)
See, that's why I'm not skeptical. Weir is insisting on complicated plot and RepliCarter Has A Plan (and, unlike the cylons, she really does). If she'd only tell it to me....
YAY!

(Well, for me, it's one giant green squiggle, yes.)
(Maybe it's getting to the point where I should teach Word new words. Like "Stargate" and "Goa'uld".)
It's always dangerous when RepliCarter Has A Plan. I know this, because I just spent an extensive amount of time inside her head. It is a scary place.
Now the trick is finding my beta. I think he's hiding from me. :P

I had a friend college who couldn't find his backpack one day - he had us looking EVERYWHERE for a "brown backpack with a green bottom."
Eventually I held up the dark green backpack with that brown fake-leather bottom and asked him if it was his.
Mmmmm, colorbindness.
(and then I built a chess set where one side was red and green legos and the other side was yellow and blue legos and according to the colorblind friends, those colors next to each other tend to pulse/glow....)
Yay for teach Word new tricks! (though I'm always oddly hesitant to do so)
Good luck finding him. Maybe RepliCarter can help?

I'm also generally hesitant to teach Word new words. After a point, though, it just gets annoying and I just do it anyway.
I'm afraid of what RepliCarter's definition of "help" is. :) After all this, I'd like to keep my beta.

btw, do you watch NCIS? I need a beta for an NCIS fic.

Unfortunately, I don't watch NCIS, else I'd be happy to beta.

do you need the RepliCarter fic back in a hurry? (within a day?)

No particular rush, no. Take your time.
