We managed to get the second group of Dr. Who watchers through the end of s1 of New!Who this weekend. Well, except for one who left 3 minutes before the end of the season 1 finale, so we're debating on how mean we want to be and not let him watch the last few minutes just so we can see him be all confused by the appearance of David Tennant and lack of Christopher Eccleston.
Yes, we are bad people.
I also managed to get Torchwood foisted upon me, mostly because we (the first group of watchers) can't see the last 4 episodes of s4 until next week. And the mastermind behind all this needs his fix. Well, when he's not playing Titan Quest.
I did manage to get copies of the first few episodes of In Plain Sight, so maybe eventually I'll understand what everyone is talking about.
Also, going off last post, not only did I buy the comics of The Middleman, I downloaded the first couple of episodes. We got a new sound system, so we decided to test the system and the connection to our non-local media server by watching the first episode. I believe the sentiment was "I am vaguely ashamed, yet strangely entranced." We are having a hard time getting over the fact that it's on ABC Family, but after watching it, Link and I both looked at each other, and he immediately set the DVR to record it.
Unfortunately, we can't seem to find a good copy of the second episode. I only managed to find the webrip, which was better than he did. We got about 2 minutes in before the XBox lost it (or refused to play it), which is probably okay, because it was really hard to watch. Hopefully there'll be a rerun at some point. This is probably a good thing, because I kinda want to foist it on a friend who'd probably enjoy it, but his head will explode if he can't get a better copy of the second episode (Thyristor's a bit of a video encoding snob. To be fair, you'd be too if you spent your entire day dealing with it).
