Solutions to the that music meme

I guess this means that my tastes in music are esoteric? Maybe? (I should not subject my flist to Coheed & Cambria, Matthew Good Band, Wolfmother, or Queens of the Stone Age. Should not. *is devious*)

Housemate #1's got us watching Dr. Who (the new one, starting with the Ninth Doctor). This puts a damper on my plans to figure out what "new" series to watch. Top contenders are Farscape and BSG. (Yes, I know. I'm slow.) BSG is currently winning because it's 3 seasons (plus Razor), before s4 starts in March April.

I love Farscape and all the different aliens, but BSG is just so... gritty. It's a hard choice.

Also, I knew I recognized #5. I just couldn't place it. :/

I keep hearing all sorts of great things about Farscape (it doesn't hurt that I think Ben Browder is hot and Claudia Black is all kinds of amazing, from seeing them in Stargate). But it's closed canon. BSG has a new season, and there's something about seeing a show on its air date (or thereabouts. Oh, how I love thee, DVR).

...that's kind of my reaction, but the other way around. XD

I see what you're saying, though. TV shows are by their very nature episodic -- you lose a lot of the suspense watching them one after the other. I know the last episode of S1 Supernatural would have made a bigger impact on me if I didn't have the S2 boxset waiting for me.
