Was playing Mass Effect right before watching SGA midseason finale (um, guys? Those words, I don't think they mean what you think they mean). I am becoming further convinced that this game is not-so-secretly a homage to every other freaking sci-fi show/movie out there, and that someone at a certain Canadian software company is most certainly a Stargate fan. Not am I only running around looking for Ancient Prothean technology and fighting off replicators Reapers and Geth with a main character named Sheppard Shepard, jumping from planet-to-planet via stargates mass point jump gates built by the Ancients Protheans, while running around a random planet, I ran into a pyramid.
Yes, a pyramid.
Housemate #1's and my jaws dropped in disbelief before we burst out laughing. The thing, I swear to god, looked like a Goa'uld ship.
And then we watched SGA.
Seriously thinking about going back to watching HD torrents of this, because it's freaking annoying getting spoiled in the teaser. I think the only thing stopping us is that we're currently struggling with the XBox360 to play the codecs.
Anyway. Thank you, SGA, for showing us Tin Man and Double Jeopardy condensed into the same episode.
I know Housemate #2 and I were really hoping for the return of RepliCarter. Dammit, we want the throw-down between her and RepliWeir!
