Ooh! Is it any good? Is it just as evil? Have they made you kill a friend yet (I may never get over the Companion Cube)?

I'm only an hour in, but so far it is quite excellent. They added some more things to make the puzzles even more mind-bending and crazy (lasers! springs that FLING you across the room!). And GLaDOS is back. And is pissed off that you killed her. Only not. Because she is not human and therefore above those things. You murderer.

There is also co-op mode! Which I haven't played yet, but looks awesome. (You play as ROBOTS.)

Haha! I am simultaneously confused, delighted, and terrified by GLaDOS.

Yeah, I have roughly the same reaction to GLaDOS.

(I like the theory of one of the co-writers of the first game that Chell, the player character, is just sulky and pissed off about having to do all this and doesn't want to give GLaDOS the satisfaction of a response, and that's why she doesn't talk.)

You should! It's actually pretty short (my first time through was like 4-5 hours), and it really walks you through the mechanics so even if you're not that great at first-person shooters (I'm not), it's really enjoyable.

Plus you suddenly understand LOTS of internet jokes. *g*
