Because it's 1am and I'm not asleep yet.

I'm going to try something here. This is a list of all WiPs I'm theoretically working on. I'm in such a weird headspace right now that I need a push to finish them. So. Here are summaries from what are technically active. As teasers, yes, but as also maybe I'll be motivated if someone kicks me into writing it.

If nothing else, hey, at least I know what I'm theoretically working on.

ETA: Aby reminded me I'm missing one.

Fan Fic

Untitled (A:tLA) - alternate character interpretation of the Bei Fongs. Is requiring me to pull out my East Asian history textbooks, because I swear to god, I am going to make Toph's parents sympathetic, in sharp contrast to...every other portrayal in fandom.

Bringing Down the House (SG-1) - s9 AU. Post-apocalyptic story. Events didn't quite go the same after "Ripple Effect", and the Ori invaded Earth. Daniel, Cam, and Teal'c escaped to the Alpha Site along with the rest of the SGC, minus Sam, who was offworld at the time with SG-22, who never make it back. 2 years later, and the Tau'ri survivors are trying their hardest to survive in the galaxy by themselves, while still attempting to resist the Ori and looking for allies. Dark as all hell.

Untitled Doom!Fic (SG-1) - the "Reckoning" AU I'm co-writing with [profile] abyssinia4077. RepliCarter and Ba'al take over the galaxy. No, really.

Life Beyond the Minimum Safe Distance (SG/Iron Man) - Stargate/Iron Man fusion. The one in which the part of Tony Stark is played by Sam Carter. Daniel Jackson is Pepper Potts. Cam Mitchell is James Rhodes. Contains engineering. Oh yes.

Untitled Epic Fic (P3/P4) - 5 years post P4, 7 years post P3. FES is canon. Naoto Shirogane is called to Tatsumi Port Island by the president of the Kirijo Group, Mitsuru Kirijo, for help with a certain matter (some data got stolen and "Shirogane" was the contact). That night, Port Island goes under lockdown when Shadows appear. There is no Dark Hour. But now it's a race against the clock, because in seven days, something will break through the Final Gate, and it'll be the end of the world again.

Requiem (SG-1) - tag to SGA's "The Last Man". SG-1, in the alternate timeline, after. In minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years.

Original

Wintermarch (original) - low-fantasy-esque tale of child-soldiers/mercs after the war is done and they're all adults. Magic is weirdshit, mages are either thought of as god-touched or reviled. One of the three mercs returns to her homeland to retrieve a birthright, and in the process sets off a powder-keg of a succession struggle.

xaos: Travelers (original) - first "book" in sprawling, ridiculous science-fantasy space opera. Starts off as your usual, run-of-the-mill "teenage girl discovers she (and her friends) are aliens and she's the messiah of an entire race of people in another galaxy". You know how it goes.

*pouts*

There are fics I am waiting for (stories you have TORTURED ME WITH) which are not on this list.

Also, um, why does DoomFic summary not also end with "Dark as all hell" or is it darker than hell?

God, I really wish our brains would simultaneously get back in gear to write that.

Because, uh, I forgot about that one. "Oops."

It's totally on the list.

DoomFic, well, I thought that it was understood that it was dark as all hell, with that summary.

Yeah, so do I.

Noted!

Mostly, "be an audience"? :) Really, just knowing right now that I wouldn't be writing in a vacuum helps.

I'd be more than happy to look over what you've written.

I am nothing if not predictable.

(damn thing's already huge. 10k words and not even halfway there.)

And I even have a shiny new Kindle to read awesome long stories on!

But we love you anyway. :)

And I even have a shiny new Kindle to read awesome long stories on!

Oooh, yay, Kindle! (I've yet to figure out a clever way of getting stories from LJ/DW saved onto a Kindle. It is On The List. However, I did find a nifty program online that'll turn FF.net stories into MOBI files)

Someone on my flist uses Calibre (freeware), which is what I'm using. I open lj/dw stories in style light, download as html only, and convert to MOBI, and then copy over when the Kindle's attached via USB.

Calibre's got some quirks I;m still figuring out, and I'm going to ask the aforementioned flister for advice, which I'll forward on, if you'd like.

Ah. I've used Calibre for reformatting PDFs (plain-text) but not for HTML. Let me know how it goes?

You HAVE to finish all of these, but especially the Iron Man one. Daniel as Pepper Potts! Does not get old.

I WANT to finish them all! They're all just sitting there. Taunting me.

And yes, Daniel as Pepper Potts really never does get old. Because Daniel does "long-suffering" so very well.
