Why am I awake?

1. Working on that fake TV show meme that's going around. It's sort of like writing the bare-bones charsheets for a Guild game. Except I suspect the hardest part will be casting, because damn if I know actors. Gaaah...

2. Picked up a new sketchbook on Tuesday! This is exciting, because I've had the itch to start sketching again recently. Except on the very first page, I realized I'd managed how to forget how to draw 3/4 profile, turned towards the right. This is very irritating. And I still can't draw people without doing the wireframe/circles-and-ovals for figuring out poses.

3. I need a book. The one I picked up in Borders before I left was for reading while waiting or on the plane. It's good enough for that, as I read it in the waiting room at the doctor's today without a problem, but it's not making me want to read it more than that. Shame too, since it's supposedly a fantasy spy, cloak-and-dagger style story with necromancy, which should be relevant to my interests. I think I got spoiled on Deepgate Codex trilogy and the Throne of Amenkor trilogy.

4. I feel as if there are about 20 things I should be doing, but can't find the willpower to do any of them.

5. I sleep now.

1. You can always do what I do...think "okay, I like this actor" and go to IMDB.com to find out the actor's name - then Google Images.

3. have you tried the Foreigner series by CJ Cherryh? (or her The Kif Strike Back)

1. I might just do that. Although, overall, I don't watch that much TV, so my pool of actors from shows is sightly small.

2. They are good! I used to always carry a sketchbook with me. I don't know why I got out of that habit. I also used to do comics for the campus newspaper, but stopped that as well. I found all my old templates about a week and a half ago and got nostalgic.

3. Mn, no, never have. I think I have the omnibus of her Fated Sun trilogy, but never quite got through it. What's Foreigner about?

4. I'm becoming convinced of that.

1. It is SO HARD. Although, like, I had a ton of people I wanted to cast in something, and my own personal preferences for who should be where.

My problem is that I don't know who to cast in some places, because I have a clear idea of what a character should look like, and can't figure out an actor. Like "okay, this character is at least half-Japanese. Now who's a younger female actor who can fit that? Err..."

And so on.

I am also resisting casting all 'gateverse actors, but that's another story entirely.
