Watched The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Toki o Kakeru Shōjo), directed by Mamoru Hosoda, with friends tonight. Technically, I had to watch it for class, but my friends found out and decided to make it An Event. With marzipan cookie making.
Next week, the second-ever English showing of Hosoda's new movie Summer Wars is happening on campus, with Hosoda himself and the producer as Special Guests. This can be put squarely on the shoulders of one of my professors. I win classes forever.
Anyway, I highly recommend The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, as it is possibly one of the most "awww"-inducing movies ever. Poor Makoto. It is also fantastically pretty.
