Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.

"Upside Down" caught my attention for how you were able to make me visualize this completely backwards world. I'm sure your scientific brain was screaming at breaking laws of physics in this AU. How did you squelch it? My favorite part was the surprise reveal of Replicarter as the villain. I really should've known it from the start.

Actually, I ended up staring at a lot of MC Escher drawings. :) Some of those are really internally consistent, but just make no sense if you don't turn off part of your brain. Once I had it turned off, I could just keep it off for awhile. Also, I started channeling a lot of the feeling I get while watching the anime Gurran Lagann and just started thinking "this is awesome!". That part drowned out the science brain. :)

And yeah, at this point, RepliCarter showing up should be expected. Although it was really fun to see if I could keep it a surprise. She's about the one villain I can think of who can make such a completely backwards world that's still internally consistent and make it so that those stuck inside don't realize that they're being played for quite some time. I didn't get to show it as much as I'd have liked, since it was Daniel's PoV, but Sam got really, really pissed off. :P
