Sometimes, you just need to scream or break something to let it out. In Legion, the mirror broke. Here...Sam did.
Since she was explicitly trying to get away from Jack and Teal'c, they let her go, thinking she just needed time to herself. And Janet's dead and Daniel's off on the Prometheus, so...there's no one to catch her when she fell.
