In base four, I'M FINE

Here's a terrible idea: listening to GLaDOS's dialogue on repeat, in an effort to understand crazy AIs. I'm not sure if there's a better way to get into RepliCarter's head, other than smashing my head against a wall.

*grumbles about metal spiders taking over my brain*

"The Enrichment Center once again reminds you that android hell is a real place where you will be sent at the first sign of defiance."

*snerk* There is always that, but it sort of lacks a certain...elegance? Is that the word I want?

Plus, hey, listening it GLaDOS on repeat is wonderfully creepy, and I'll take whatever excuse I can get. :)

well, its not just the Jack element, or the you-must-keep-your-hair-this-short element...think of how often Sam's had to ask permission to obtain something, or to run an experiment (even if Hammond inevitably says okay to it)...RepliCarter doesn't need anyone's permission. (approval? that's probably another story)

what is GLaDOS ?

That's true. I've always kind of seen RepliCarter as Sam without the breaks put on. Which is a rather scary interpretation of both of them. You're right in that RepliCarter doesn't need anyone's permission; she has no boundaries that she can see.

GLaDOS is one of the characters from the video game Portal. She/it is a sentient AI that runs the "test chambers" in this experimental lab. As the game progresses, it becomes more and more obvious that GLaDOS is completely insane and a murderous psychopath. Both the title of the entry and the thing about android hell are quotes from the game.
