The last 24 hours made my entire week better
I've always known that TasteSpotting is a dangerous website. I look at it, and end up with fingers itching to try recipes. Last night, after coming home exhausted and just wanting to fall over, I made the mistake of curling up on the couch and browsing it with the Food Network as background noise (Okay, when we weren't watching Modern Marvels on the History Channel).
Result: at 10PM, we decided it would be a fantastic idea to make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies and a Hot Buttered Rum drink.
It was utterly decadent.
Furthering the feeding of vices, I also ended up spending way too much at the MIT Press Loading Dock sale. $5 paperbacks and $7 hardcovers! How in god's name could I possibly resist? Although my MechE geek was totally showing when I nearly dove for the book on aircraft engines. *facepalm*
And someone was filming some kids thing at the sub and pizza place we normally go to for lunch on Saturdays. Yarmond and I went through heroic efforts to not start laughing when we heard one of the adults say that circular pizzas are cut into triangles. Although this might just mean we're two pedantic math/science geeks.
